Oman's Next Public Holiday is on This Date

People in Oman should start planning their itinerary for another long weekend as Oman's next public holiday falls on Thursday, Jan. 11, which will give people in the Sultanate a three-day long weekend to relax and enjoy!

The holiday celebrates His Majesty Sultan bin Tarik's accession to power and Jan. 11 was declared a holiday in the Royal Decree No. 88/2022.

Public Holidays in Oman

This Royal Decree stated that official holidays for units of the State’s Administrative Apparatus, public legal entities, and  the private sector will be the following:

• His Majesty the Sultan’s Accession Day:  Jan. 11.

• Al Isra’a Wal Miraj:  Feb. 7, 2024 (Rajab 27).

• Eid Al Fitr: Apr. 10 to Apr. 12, 2024

• Eid Al Adha: Jun. 17 to Jun. 19, 2024.

• Hijri New Year’s Day:  Jul. 8, 2024 (Muharram 1).

• The Prophet’s Birthday: Sep. 16, 2024 (Rabee Al Awwal 12). 

• The National Day: Nov. 18 and Nov. 19.
