Oman 2023 Public Holiday Calendar

Oman citizens and residents will be able to plan their mini-vacations and long weekends ahead of time as recently, a Royal Decree was issued that fixed the official holidays in 2023 calendar year.

Earlier in December 2022, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik issued a Royal Decree No 88/2022 specifying the days of official holidays for 2023.

The first public holiday that Oman residents can look forward to will be as early as January 11^th, which is His Majesty the Sultan’s Accession Day.

Below is a list of Oman’s Public Holidays in 2023 with dates:

• January 11^th: His Majesty the Sultan’s Accession Day.
• February 18: Al Isra’a Wal Miraj.
• April 20-23: Eid Al Fitr.
• June 27-30: Eid Al Adha.
• July 18 or 19: Muharram, or Hijri New Year’s Day.
• September 26 or 27: Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) Birthday.
• November 18-19: Oman National Day.

The Royal Decree stipulates that if any of the days of the weekly off coincides with the official holidays, it shall be compensated by one day.
