The Oman Adventure Centre is set to officially open on Wednesday in the Musandam Governorate, with the launch of the world's longest zipline over water. The Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran) has announced the soft opening of the 1,800-meter dual zipline project in the Wilayat of Khasab.

As part of developing the region and promoting tourism, the Oman Adventure Centre has offered the first activity of its kind, the Zipline project.

This project plan will enable the Musandam Governorate to expand its tourism market through offering a different range of activities, and experiences which will be a key factor in attracting tourists from all over the world to the region.

LEOS, a specialized operator with experience in managing adventure and entertainment projects on both regional and international levels, will be responsible for managing and operating the zipline project.

The Director General of Tourism Development at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, Said bin Hare al Obaidani, stated that the ministry's efforts are focused on promoting development and investment in various significant tourist destinations in Oman, with a particular emphasis on the Musandam Governorate.

In addition to the zipline project, "We are also developing several hiking and mountain biking trails in Musandam Governorate, installing informational and guiding signboards that meet all required safety and security standards."

The project has been finalized according to the most rigorous standards and specifications. Furthermore, all safety and security aspects have been thoroughly assessed, and over 2,000 tests were conducted before the opening to ensure its safety.
