Oman's HH Honourable Lady Greets on Mother's Day

Her Highness the Honourable Lady Assayida Ahd Abdullah Hamed Al Busaidi, Spouse of the Sultan of Oman, has sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of Mother's Day. 

The message reads as follows: "A mother is a symbol of sacrifice and a source of mercy. Her resourcefulness is inexhaustible, awards countless, blessings great, bounties plentiful and status lofty. Allah the Almighty honoured the mother and our Prophet advised us to do the same. It has thus become incumbent on us to take care of the mother, honour her and respect her.

"We are delighted to send our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to every mother who worked hard to provide a comfortable life to the family. Our greetings to every mother who exerted sincere efforts and remained vigilant in bringing up her children and endured hardships for their wellbeing so that they could become loyal in serving their countries and all of humanity.

Mother's Day falls on March 21st every year in Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Lebanon, Mauritania, Palestine, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen. 

It is celebrated on different days in different countries all over the world, but all focus on demonstrating love and appreciation for mothers.

It focuses on celebrating and honouring mothers and is considered a perfect occasion to show gratitude to maternal figures for all they do and their effect on our personal lives and their work in society at large.
