Oman's Inflation Rate is the Lowest Among Arab Countries

The global inflation index from Financial Times indicated that Oman's inflation rate has dropped to 1.9% and is the lowest among Arab countries.

The country's inflation rate has decreased to 1.9% in January 2023 from 4.4% in January 2022.

The highest inflation rate witnessed by Oman was 13.75 % in January 2008.

The decrease in the inflation rate has resulted from the government's efficient management of the supply chain crisis related to food items.

Energy and food prices have increased and remained high globally, nonetheless, in some countries price pressures have reduced and wholesale prices for food and energy have also dropped.
