Oman Tops the List in Terms of Internet Speed Index for January 2023

According to Speedtest Global, the Sultanate of Oman has been selected as one of the best counties in terms of the internet speed index for January 2023.

Oman has ranked 39th globally in internet speed, with a speed of 50.22 megabits per second, compared to 46.56 megabits per second in August 2022. The country was classified with the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain as the best Arab countries in terms of internet speed.

With Oman on achieving this global ranking in internet speed, this reflects its commitment to technological advancement.

The UAE topped the index, followed by Qatar, Norway, and South Korea, while Cuba came last in the ranking, which includes 163 countries, followed by Afghanistan and Venezuela. The Speedtest Global Index relies on average download speed to reflect the best speeds that users are likely to achieve in the market.
