His Majesty Sultan Haitham Receives Germany's President

The Sultan and Prime Minister of Oman His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received the President of Germany Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier on Tuesday, Nov. 28.

Germany's President arrived in Muscat on Monday, Nov. 27 with his wife for an official three-day visit. 

Oman's Official Reception Ceremony for the German President

President Dr. Steinmeier was granted an official reception ceremony on Tuesday at Al Alam Palace.

Upon the arrival of the German President at the palace, a squadron of cavalry lined both sides of the road to the palace's gate to welcome the official guest. 

As the vehicle transporting the guests reached the internal courtyard of the Al Alam Palace, the Royal Guard of Oman played a welcoming tune with the accompaniment of trumpets. 

His Majesty Sultan Haitham led the German President to the Dais of Honor, where the German national anthem was played, while the artillery fired a 21-gun salute for the guest. 

The Sultan exchanged greetings with the German delegation and the German President did the same with the members of the royal family and other administrative officials. 

After the exchange of greetings, both leaders proceeded to the hall where they had some coffee. 

As the German President's visit to the Sultanate will last three days, we hope he has a wonderful time in Oman!
