How to Obtain Permanent Light Private Driving License in Oman

The General Directorate of Traffic at the Royal Oman Police (ROP) has listed conditions for obtaining a permanent, light private driving license.

Here are the conditions:

• The applicant must be Omani and not working as a driver of any other type of vehicle.
• No less than 15 years must have passed since obtaining the license.
• The applicant must also not have any health restrictions, such as a disability, except for medical lenses and glasses.
• Must have a traffic record free of any violations of the first category, during the previous three years before applying.

It is also not possible to combine the permanent special light driving license with any other licenses from another category. 

If any of the mentioned conditions are absent, the Directorate noted that the permanent license would be withdrawn.
