Snakes frequently stay out or slide around homes during the scorching summer months as they seek shelter from the heat in humid regions.

As a result, Muscat Municipality has established several measures to prevent their predominance in residential areas.

The municipality added that it has increased its efforts to battle venomous reptiles, specifically snakes, by planting snake repellents or glue traps, and that it also conducts a special preventive drive throughout parks to combat harmful snakes.

The local government acknowledged that it responds to all reports of snake sightings and said that its adopted strategy is to relocate the snake to its ideal natural habitat.

The municipality advises people to avoid snakes and to make sure that their children and dogs are also away if they see one. Since snakes serve a crucial part in a variety of ecosystems, it is not advised to kill them as much as possible.

One is advised to dial the Oman municipality's call center in case they see a snake in their region.
