Dhofar Wins 11th HM’s Cup Title with Victory Over Al Nahda

Celebrations ensue as Dhofar Football Club triumphs once again in Oman's football arena. Dhofar Football Club emerged victorious in the 2023-24 His Majesty’s Cup Football Championship, claiming their 11th title after a resounding 2-0 victory over Al Nahda in the final match held at Khasab Sports Complex in Musandam Governorate.

Led by coach and football legend Younis Aman, Dhofar showcased their dominance in Omani football, further solidifying their legacy as a powerhouse in the sport.

The win marks another milestone in Dhofar's illustrious history, adding to their impressive tally of 22 major domestic trophies, including 11 league titles.

In a match witnessed by nearly 10,000 spectators, Dhofar demonstrated exceptional skill and determination, sealing their triumph with two well-executed penalty kicks.

The match also saw a historic moment for Omani football with the debut of Video Assistant Review (VAR), enhancing the integrity and fairness of the game. Despite Al Nahda's efforts to stage a comeback, Dhofar's steadfast defense ensured their victory, reaffirming their status as champions.

Dhofar's journey of HM’s Cup success dates back to 1977, with the club consistently showcasing excellence on the field over the years.

The trophy was presented to Dhofar's captain, Ali Salim, by Sayyid Ibrahim bin Said al Busaidy, Governor of Musandam, amidst dignitaries and football enthusiasts, marking yet another memorable chapter in Omani football history.
