Three Omani citizens were successfully rescued after their boat capsized in open waters near the Barka coast, authorities confirmed on Friday.

The Royal Oman Police reported that the Coast Guard Unit, with the assistance of a local fishing boat crew, carried out the rescue mission in South Al Batinah Governorate. The operation ensured the safe recovery of all individuals on board the distressed vessel.
Following the rescue, the capsized boat was secured and subsequently towed to the marine dock located at the fishing port in the Wilayat of Barka.
In an official statement, police noted that the rescue was executed efficiently due to “swift coordination between authorities and local fishermen.” Authorities confirmed that all three rescued individuals were unharmed and in good condition.
